Effective July 1, 2009, a new federal program will cap student monthly loan payments based on income and family size.   Any debt and interest remaining after 25 years of payments will be forgiven.  In addition for those who work in a government, non-profit or other public service job, your federal student loans could be forgiven in as few as ten years of Interest Based Repayment.  For more information go to www.IBRinfo.org <http://www.ibrinfo.org/> or check the NASW WI website at www.naswwi.org
