Exemptions

Exemptions for some or all of the Foundation courses (Year 1) may be granted to students who have graduated from an accredited undergraduate social work program within the last seven years. Exemptions are based on course syllabi review of completed comparable course work. These courses must have been completed with a grade of B or better, statistics with a grade of C or better. Exemptions are not granted for Concentration Year courses (Year 2).

Exemption Exams

Some exemptions may be attained by examination. Exams are given for Statistics, SW 711 Human Behavior and the Environment, SW 605 Field of Social Work, SW 606 Social Policy, and SW 650 Research Methods. Exemption exams are offered each semester during the week before classes begin.
