Assistant Director – Respite Program

We are now hiring a full-time Assistant Director – Respite.  This is a newly created position, which will work closely with a dedicated team of professionals committed to the inclusion of children and adults with disabilities in their communities.

The Assistant Director – Respite is a leadership position that will provide overall support to the program, including: assisting with the training and development of Service Coordinators; acting as a point person on intakes of new families; supervision and training of community staff, volunteers and interns; support for and participation in providing community education; and supervision and support of the UCP CARES program. Additionally, the Assistant Director – Respite will oversee the Respite Program in the Director’s absence.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, with occasional weekend and evening hours to assist with trainings and overall program needs.

Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in social work or in a human service-related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with families and/or people with disabilities.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, liability coverage and a personal vehicle is required for this position.
