Public Health Supervisor

This is a highly responsible leadership and supervisory position within the Department of Public Health Madison and Dane County (PHMDC). Under the general supervision of a Division Director, work is characterized by independent judgment and discretion in meeting program and agency goals and objectives; designing and facilitating workforce development initiatives; building and strengthening community partner relationships; embedding health and racial equity framework into the division and its programs; implementing community engagement models; providing oversight of programs and services; contributing to the strategic direction of the department; and fostering performance improvement opportunities and organizational learning. This position is responsible for supervising a multidisciplinary staff. There is an expectation for leadership, planning, coalition building, collaboration, coordination, policy development and evaluation in partnership with organizations such as healthcare providers, community agencies and other organizations, and community leaders in order to maximize health for all residents of Madison and Dane County.
