Registered Nurse (RN) – Full Time Nights – Detox Center

Tellurian, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse at their Detoxification Program located in Madison, WI. This is a full-time position working 3 – 12 Hour Shifts per week (total of 36 hours per week).

This facility is a medically monitored Detox facility under HFS75.  RN’s work in conjunction with Human Service staff to receive, and provide services to, persons highly intoxicated or incapacitated due to alcohol abuse and require care and monitoring. They also provide detoxification services to individuals that are addicted to opiates.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs assessment of the patient’s condition
  • Communicates as needed with On-Call Physicians
  • Provides prescribed medications
  • Monitors patient vital signs
  • Documents patient condition
  • Determines whether other medical conditions may require a higher level of care than available at Detox and in such cases refers and arranges for transportation to a local hospital
  • Provides shift supervision of Human Service Assistant staff

Job Requirements:

  • Current RN license in good standing with Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
  • Pass a criminal background check and be free of offenses prohibiting employment under HSF12 at the time of employment, and annually thereafter.
