The School District of La Crosse is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE Social Worker. Current placement will be at Logan Middle School.
Wisconsin certification 7050 is required.
This District provides a counselor/social work component integrated into a full student services program for all students grade preschool through grade 12. Implementing a job description in which child and family advocacy is of prime importance, the counselor/social worker is expected to assess and facilitate a cooperative effort among students, home, school staff, and community agencies to promote individual growth. Prefer applicants possessing the following qualifications: • Candidates who have successful experience working with younger students and their families. • Demonstrated skills in the following: • Assessment of the environments affecting the student. • Consultation with school staff and community agency personnel. • Group and individual counseling. • Coordinating with special education programs, as well as other student at risk programs. • Coordinating with school psychologists, counselors, and nurses.
