Family & Juvenile Court Coordinator

The Taylor County Circuit Court has a full-time opening for a Family & Juvenile Court Coordinator. The Family & Juvenile Court Coordinator performs juvenile intake tasks, provides family court mediation services, conducts home studies/custody evaluations, prepares stepparent adoption reports, and administers the SMILE program. Individual will participate in on-call duties. In addition, this person will serve as a backup to the Register in Probate.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related field with three to five years social work experience. Must complete Juvenile Court Intake Training within six months of employment, 25 hours of mediation training and not less than three years of professional experience in dispute resolution and have training on dynamics of domestic violence and the effects of domestic violence on victims and children.
