Maternal and Infant Mortality Prevention Unit Supervisor
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Public Health (DPH) is recruiting to fill a Maternal & Infant Mortality Unit Supervisor position within the Bureau of Community Health Promotion.
Position Summary: Leading with equity, this position is responsible for directing and supervising the staff of the Maternal and Infant Mortality Prevention Unit (MIMP) and is responsible for guiding the completion of requirements and formulating recommended decisions in the various MIMP program initiatives. Examples of these initiatives include: infant and maternal mortality review, promoting high quality perinatal care, reducing African-American infant mortality, and reducing disparities in birth outcomes. This position will have a high emphasis on the principles of health equity and community engagement and applying those principles to address social determinants of health and health disparities in MIMP. This position will serve as the program director for Centers for Disease Control and Health Resources and Services Administration grants supporting these initiatives. This position utilizes the Division and Bureau’s strategic plan to guide staff and to make programming decisions.
