This Co-occurring Disorders Therapist position is a grant funded position under the State Opioid Response Year 2 grant (SOR2), with the intention that it will continue after the grant period. This position provides clinical, co-occurring services to adults who are enrolled at Rock County Counseling Center who have a diagnosis of opioid use disorder or stimulant use disorder, with some participating in medication assisted treatment. Daily activities in this position include providing individual and group therapy services, intake assessments, maintaining a treatment plan, assessing safety risks, documentation of services, attending client staffings and administrative meetings, case management, discharge planning, collaboration with internal and external colleagues. Services are provided in-person and through tele-health. This position supports and promotes the mission, vision and guiding principles of the Human Services Department. 20%- Provide screening and biopsychosocial assessment for clients referred to treatment:
- Use DSM-V criteria to determine SUD and if applicable, mental health diagnosis for referred clients.
- Determine level of care recommendations using American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) screening tool.
- Complete co-occurring assessment and diagnosis
- Use stage of change model to assess readiness to change and current stage of motivation.
- Coordination with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to discuss clients progress, needs and recommendations.
70%- Provide direct treatment services including outpatient and group counseling to enrolled clients:
- Meet with clients to develop collaborative treatment plan for services, review progress in regular intervals per DHS 75 and DHS 35, and make updates to treatment plan as indicated.
- Provide individual and group therapy to address needs identified in treatment plan.
- Assess clients motivation and progress. Will use motivation enhancement tools to assist client in progressing through treatment.
- Screen, assess and safety plan for suicide risk and overdose risk.
5%- Attend staffing, supervision, and team meetings to discuss progress and treatment planning.
3%- Ensure Chart Compliance
- Complete all paperwork in determined time frame.
- Follow DHS 75 requirements for documentation of assessment, treatment plans, reviews, transfers, progress notes, and discharges.
2%- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements, Education, Training & Experience
- Wisconsin SAC or SAC-IT certification or ability to obtain immediately.
- Masters degree from an accredited university in human services field.
- Current Wisconsin LPC, LCSW, or LMFT or ability to obtain immediately. Training license would be considered.
- Ability to work flexible hours Monday- Friday between 8-5 and up to two evenings as needed until 7pm.
