Outpatient Mental Health/Substance Use Counselor

ARC is looking for a full-time, skilled counselor to join our fun, supportive, and dedicated team in providing person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, co-occurring treatment services that are gender- and culturally-responsive for women (or those who identify as women) and their families (as they define them). In addition to providing co-occurring services ARC provides trauma treatment, child and family therapy, on-site therapeutic childcare, parenting education, case management, and pre-natal care coordination. The Mental Health/Substance Use Counselor is a critical part of our treatment team and is responsible for helping women create their own treatment plans, providing individual counseling, facilitating groups, and advocating on behalf of the women we serve.

ARC is looking for an experienced, organized, responsible and personable individual with the ability to engage women and their families. Substance Use Counselor certification and Mental Health licensure, or ability to obtain, are required. Master’s Degree in related fields is preferred. Free clinical supervision will be provided for those working towards obtaining licensure/certification (SAC-IT, CSAC, LCSW, LPC, and/or LMFT). This position in eligible for a $1,000 signing bonus. ARC offers competitive salary ($42,000-$46,000) and a generous benefits package including: health, dental and vision insurance package where agency pays 80% of premiums, generous paid time off (3 weeks paid vacation the first year-increases each year after), 10 paid sick days, 12 paid holidays, disability and life insurance, 401(k) with employer contribution, paid training and continuing education, supervision to obtain licensure or certification, and a flexible work schedule (general schedule is Monday-Friday, 8-4pm). During the pandemic, staff are working both from home and in the office.
