MMR Program Coordinator

We seek a program coordinator to lead the Maternal Mortality Review (MMR) program at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS). Hired collaboratively with the UW Population Health Institute, this position will be based in the Bureau of Community Health Promotion, Division of Public Health, DHS.

Under the supervision of the Maternal and Infant Mortality Prevention Unit Supervisor, the program coordinator oversees all operational aspects of the MMR program. This includes coordinating the activities and meetings of the internal staff team, the MMR executive team, and the review team meetings; serving as the primary MMR contact to review team members and external partners; and maintaining the policies and procedures of the MMR committee. In addition, the program coordinator will work with the epidemiologist and abstractors to obtain records for abstraction (death certificates, clinic and hospital records, autopsies, and social services records) and prioritize and track cases through the abstraction and review process. This position will also coordinate with oversight implementation activities, aimed at putting team recommendations into practice, in collaboration with the other MMR staff, review team members, and key partners.
