Health Advocate Specialist

This position will work closely with the Health Services Supervisor to plan, coordinate and monitor compliance with EPSDT requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, and Wisconsin licensing laws.  The Health Advocate Specialist is responsible for providing individualized support for families dealing with medical and dental needs, both in and out of the classroom.  They will coordinate with the Education and Family Services Teams to ensure the health and wellbeing of all children and provide guidance for staff and parents relating to the child’s physical health.  This position will assist with all child health requirements, screenings and assessments and implement education to parents, staff and volunteers. This position will also support the coordination of special health and program events here at Next Door.
