The Office of Student Financial Aid assists students making college affordable through federal, state, and institutional funding. Our office strives to provide a seamless enrollment experience for students and their families which supports the recruitment, retention, and on-time graduation of students.
Our Success Services aim to support students’ experiences so they can achieve their own journey of success. We offer Success Coaching, Basic Needs support, mentorship, and skill development through a Be Engaged Workshop Series. The Basic Needs team offers support to students in gaining access to food, housing, and insurance to promote overall wellness while attending UW-Madison. Basic Needs Assistants are ready to support in getting students connected to resources including programs such as Foodshare and Badgercare, as well as getting connected to different food pantry’s or other resources.

Coaching:
• Meet regularly with UW-Madison students and assistant with meeting their current needs
• Refer students to applicable UW campus and community resources
Outreach:
• Establish and nurture partnerships within OSFA and across campus to create a strong network for Success Services
• Ensure all resources and campus/communication information is up to date so accurate information is passed along to students and campus partners
• Participate in Success Services & OSFA outreach events and programs to promote resources and connect with students
Administrative:
• Attend scheduled team meetings and Student Engagement Team meetings
• Assist in management of the Basic Needs & Success Services email accounts
• Coordinate and assist in the facilitation of the Mentor Collective program
• Review, approve, and manage the Purposity requests submitted by students
• Update and maintain program websites: Campus Resource Guide & Basic Needs Website
