Seeking full-time Substance Use Disorders Counselor for ARC House, a 15 bed innovative, state-wide, DHS 75.54 licensed residential substance use treatment program for justice involved women. Since 1976, ARC Community Services, Inc. has been dedicated to helping women reclaim their lives, gain awareness of their personal self-worth, and be empowered to make the changes necessary to improve their welfare along with that of their children and families. ARC uses a strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral, gender responsive, and relational model to help women make durable life changes.
Responsibilities: As part of team, implement women-specific, family-centered programming to empower women to rebuild their lives. Program elements include: Substance Abuse Treatment, Trauma, Cognitive Interventions, Parenting, Family & Relationships, Anger Management, DBT Skills, and Case Management. Oversight of substance abuse treatment program including the following responsibilities:
• Substance abuse assessments
•Formulation and implementation of comprehensive substance abuse treatment plans
• Individual substance abuse counseling and relapse prevention planning
• Facilitate substance abuse groups;
• Meeting with Medical Director & Clinical Supervisor to review resident treatment plans, continuing care plans, diagnosis, and medication;
• Preparing Intake and Discharge Reports;
• Maintaining a safe, empowering environment for our resilient women
