Tomah VA Medical Center is currently recruiting for the Community Living Center Rehab Social Work position. This is a GS-9/11, Monday through Friday position (alternate work schedule available upon successful completion of orientation and training) with one late night shift (until 1700) every five weeks. This position is located in a fast-paced environment and requires a high level of skill in assessing and treating complicated psychosocial issues of Veterans as they transition back to the community or discharge to appropriate placement alternatives. This position requires knowledge and ability to independently implement treatment modalities, provide supportive counseling for Veterans and families to deal with the psychosocial impact of coping with chronic/disabling illness(es), onset of a catastrophic illness and need for non-institutional or institutional services, as needed, during the course of admission
