The General Fund allows the School to allocate funds where the need is greatest. Contributions are used to support a range of student and faculty activities as well as promote overall program needs and goals.
The Student Support Fund provides money for need-based and merit-based student scholarships, and enables students to participate in workshops, conferences, and other educational experiences.
The Tamara Grigsby Memorial Fund for Diversity and Inclusion is used to recruit students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds; increase programming to promote an inclusive environment; provide training for students, faculty, and community members on new approaches to improve diversity and inclusion in the classroom and in our communities; and to emphasize the School’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in many forms.
If you prefer to donate by check, please make it payable to: UW Foundation/School of Social Work and send it to: UW Foundation, UW Bank Lockbox, PO Box 78807, Milwaukee, WI 53278-0807
Your Support is Vital
Private donations help the School attract the best students--regardless of their ability to pay, enable faculty to engage in research that addresses the increasingly complex needs of our society, support student activities, and foster an atmosphere conducive to the development of excellent social work practitioners.
The School is also grateful to those alumni and friends who have established student scholarships or funded special projects.
The UW Foundation calls many alumni each year to solicit support. If you are called, please be clear that you would like your donation to be directed to the School of Social Work.
