Mechele has her Master's in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s degree in the area of Human Development and Family Living from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Mechele has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Stout from 1999 to 2011 and has taught graduate and undergraduate level courses in the area of child development, individual and family counseling, cultural diversity, work and family issues and child and adolescent counseling. Mechele was a supervisor at Eau Claire County from 1999-2006. Mechele also has several years of experience working with youth in residential treatment and clinical experience doing in-home family therapy, as well as individual and group counseling with adolescents. Mechele has provided training and consultation in the areas of strength based supervision practices, permanence driven supervision, and grief, loss and trauma.
