Taylor County is seeking a full-time Substance Abuse Counselor. Individual will provide assessment/diagnosis, counseling, information and referral services and provide crisis intervention services as needed.
Applicants for this position must possess AODA Certification by possession of SAC-IT, SAC or CSAC from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. Candidates must be licensed as a Substance Abuse Counselor-In Training (SAC-IT) or possess an Associate’s Degree in Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse and or Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) with 3,000 hours of professional clinical work experience in service delivery to people with alcohol and other drug abuse difficulties. A Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, social work or human services field with 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience is preferred. Experience working with correctional/AODA individuals preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.
