Congratulations to PhD student Meghan Jenkins Morales who received the UW Institute on Aging’s 2019 New Investigator Award in the Social Sciences category for her poster, “The Association Between Housing Cost Burden, Unmet Care Needs and Nursing Home Entry Among Community-Dwelling Older Adults.”
The award will be presented at the Annual Institute on Aging Colloquium in September.
Morales, who focuses on disparities in long-term services and supports as well as affordable housing and healthy aging, demonstrates how housing costs contribute to nursing home entry and unmet care needs among older adults.
