Reaching out to dads in jail: Fathers and children do better when parental identity is supported

Assistant Prof. Pajarita Charles’ continued work on parenting and family relationships for individuals involved in the criminal justice system was highlighted in The Capital Times.

“In particular for fathers that are in the criminal justice system, typically as a society and as a justice system, we have not done a great job acknowledging their identity as a parent,” Charles said.
