Edwin “Ed” Steinacker Obituary.
It is with deep sadness that we remember Ed Steinacker. Ed was one of the first potential students to enquire about the UW-Madison MSW part-time program offered on the UW-Eau Claire campus. His desire was to earn a second graduate degree so that he could understand and serve his clients to the absolute best of his ability. Ed was loved and respected by his classmates as well as the faculty and staff of the MSW program. Ed was always willing to help; from encouraging a student to keep going even when things were overwhelming to sharing laughter and his endless positivity with others. Ed was the very essence of compassion, duty and selfless humanity. A wise and wonderful man who quietly, in his own way, touched the lives of so many. He is remembered as a most gentle and kind man with an ever-present smile. Ed graduated with his MSW in May of 2013.
