Congratulations to Alan Irgang, a senior long-term lecturer in the school, who is retiring. Alan has taught several courses for the school over the years, most recently the Substance Use Disorders course in the Part-Time MSW Program. Countless students and colleagues have benefitted from Alan’s expertise in mental health, including substance use disorders and LGBTQ affirming psychotherapy. Alan has been an active member of the school, with his most recent contribution being the development of a mentoring network for new instructors in the school.

“It has been such a pleasure to work with Alan over the years and I will miss his kind, gracious presence at trainings and all-school meetings,” says Clinical Associate Professor and Part-Time MSW Program Director Angela Willits.

We wish Alan a vibrant, well-deserved retirement!
