Kristi Wood, MSW ’13 Named to Board of Directors of the National Association of Social Workers

Congratulations to Kristi Wood, MSW ’13 who was selected to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Social Workers representing Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana for three years.

Wood is a lecturer and faculty field liaison in the Department of Social Work at UW-Whitewater, and a foster parent trainer for the Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development system.

She was a member of the first four-year cohort to graduate from the Part-Time MSW Program at UW-Madison.

She has worked in child welfare for over twenty years, and in residential treatment, group home, and foster care environments. She most recently worked as a social worker with Columbia County Health and Human Services. She and her partner Shannon have over forty foster sons.

Wood joins Robin Arndt, MSW ’08 who serves the western region, as the as the second alum on the board.
