In her 17th year as the owner/artisan of Earth Art Studio, a craft boutique in Door County, Wisconsin, Pam Banker reflected on how her journey evolved following her social work education and practice experience. After graduating with her MSSW degree, Pam opened a career counseling and psychotherapy practice in Madison. There she focused on, “helping others connect with their natural talents and passions.” Around that same time, in some ways as “stress relief” from her work, Pam began working with clay and discovering her interest in art. As she took art classes and spent hours experimenting with clay, she realized she had found her true passion.

In 2005 Pam relocated to Door County, a place she considers her “heart home” where she had vacationed and worked summers in her youth. Earth Art Studio features her own work in clay, art, tiles, and handcrafted jewelry, alongside the work of other hand-picked, “unique artisan creations you won’t find anywhere else in Door County.” It brings her joy to give people a “little piece of Door County” through her art.
