The Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work is pleased to offer a ½ day free workshop on Experiential/Adventure-Based Social Work Practice. Leader Kim Wasserburger, award winning educator and an alum of the school, has more than 30 years’ experience working in the field.
Using Experiential-Adventure Based Practices, social workers engage with clients and consumers in direct experience and focused reflection to increase knowledge, develop skills, clarify values, and develop their capacity to contribute to their communities. We’ll explore how to use adventure programming, expressive arts, body/life stories, metaphor, perspective, sensory exploration, music, dance, and more to help motivate and facilitate change.
Registration is limited. If you would like to attend, please send an email to Mel Morgenbesser, and more information will be forthcoming.
