Curriculum Vitae
Wesley Correll-King (he/him) is an interdisciplinary health equity researcher trained in public health, demography, and education. His research uses qualitative, quantitative, and participatory methods to examine the structural, institutional, and social drivers of health inequities impacting transgender and nonbinary (trans) people in the United States. Most of his work uses intersectionality frameworks to center trans people of color. He currently examines how experiences of safety and violence across the life course shape physical and mental health outcomes in older adulthood including chronic pain, trauma, and functional limitations. Overall, his research aims to improve health and social services engaged with older trans adults and generate knowledge in support of community-led efforts to promote health, socioeconomic stability, and longevity among trans people of color.
