Michael Schultz

Position title: Grants Manager
Michael returned to his home state after accepting a grants management position with the State of Wisconsin, Department of Health Services. Previously he was the Grants and Contracts Supervisor with the State of Vermont Child Development Division. For his first 25-year career he worked in higher education development. Michael was employed by and earned degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (BSW), Salem State University (MBA), and the University of Vermont (EdD). Between academia and government work he was COO for a boutique speakers agency. Embracing the gig economy, Michael has consulted, trained as a chef, catered, bartended, kept a library stocked with books available to all, opened his home to overnight guests, and drove limos. He has served in leadership positions on several non-profit boards including Vermont Shakespeare Festival, Vermont CARES, and the Fletcher Free Library Board of Commissioners. He has volunteered for many political campaigns and is a proud graduate of Leadership Greater Madison. A firm believer in giving of time, talent, and treasure, Michael has been a Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work donor for over 30 years.
