This scholarship assists undergraduate third or fourth year students pursuing a degree in the School of Social Work. Joyce Carpenter Degenhart, graduated in 1957 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor’s degree in social work. She went on to earn her Master’s at the University of Denver and PhD in psychology at Marquette University. She values the undergraduate education and experiences she received at UW-Madison and wants to instill the passion she had for social work within others.
The purpose of the scholarship is to assist an undergraduate student in the School of Social Work with a preference for a third or fourth year undergraduate student majoring in social welfare or social work.
