Title: Field Program Assistant ( but I like to say Field Program Administrator 😊)

How long have you been in your current position? How long at the school?
Since the Fall 2016/ Spring semester 2017- so 4 years this December, I think…

What are the main reasons students, faculty, or staff would contact you for assistance?
Help with or questions about the field education forms and/or the field program; Questions about field sponsored events/trainings and or Continuing Education Units (CEUs); Past forms to do with student’s field placements and field units.

What’s one effective (or ineffective) strategy you’ve used to work remotely during Covid?
Drinking water and taking regular movement breaks – I found that when I’d start my day off with a glass of water and walk, it was usually a better day than when I’d lay in bed and/or make another pot of coffee… Making sure I keep hydrated and get some fresh air. Also listing the five things that I’m grateful for and getting more bike rides in seem to be an effective strategy to help my mental health… and of course, snuggling with my kitty and virtual chats with my Amelia and Owen.

What’s a recent book, movie, tv show, podcast, or album (or other) you would recommend and why?
Well, any Dolly Parton song or podcast or movie (My fav movies are 9 to 5 and Straight Talk, among others). ALSO, a great book of essays I read recently was Tomboyland, by Melissa Faliveno.

Hobbies/other interests:
Biking, camping, roller derby, unlearning white supremacy culture and working on being anti-racist, children, the environment and kitties.
